A Little Book of PR Prompts
After the successful launch of my book, The Hard Yards last. year, the next book I want to write is all about helping people to think about PR in their business or organisation more often. It’s not going to be a BIG BOOK it’s going to be the absolute opposite – a little tiny book to dip in and out of on a day when you can’t think of a story for yourself, your business or your organisation or charity.
The main focus of the book will be prompts to help create ideas to write engaging stories about their business or themselves, that will draw potential customers and followers their way. It will be a mix of prompts, hints and tips and questions to get those creative juices flowing.
It will be helpful for a range of businesses from solopreneurs, to volunteers for charities, for marketing people who are expected to ‘do’ everything, to small businesses with a team and larger businesses or organisations – all who want to be inspired to write posts as part of their PR.
The prompts will encourage them to think about what they have going on in their business throughout the year, and it will be something they can return to again and again.
I’ll be giving you the prompts, but it will be up to you to use your own imagination, skills and experience to develop them into useful PR, blogs, social media posts, and inspiration to create reels or even videos sharing your own experiences.
Some of the ideas will be similar to the ones I’ve shared in my social media planning, but these prompts won’t be just reserved to social media posts.
There may be tips about how to contact local journalists, or local radio stations and other media outlets. There will also be some tips on what NOT to do.
I’ll be looking at PR in a broad sense – reminding you of what’s out there and when to start planning to take action.
For example:
My idea for this is to encourage people to think about PR in their business or organisation more often and regularly. The book will be low cost, fun and relevant across a wide range of disciplines. Watch this space for more.
