Kate Rowland

Kate joined Swindon Domestic Abuse Support Service as their Training Manager in 2021 after 10 years working in safeguarding with families in Wiltshire.

Having previously worked as a trainer in the early years sector, Kate combines this experience with her work within the domestic abuse sector to start conversations about a topic which has been taboo for far too long.

The charity has supported victims of DA for 50 years, but passionately wants to reach more victims and prevent DA from happening. To do this we need communities and workplaces that are informed and empowered to support victims.

From small community groups to large businesses, Kate will adapt the topic to suit the audience. Kate has delivered short talks, in-depth training and policy consultancy to organisations including Network Rail, Zurich and Nationwide as well as speaking engagements at events such as International Women’s Day at Bowood and NHS and military conferences.
