After holding the first No BS Media Summit in early 2025 with five national journalists, several have gone on to feature in the national press estimated to be worth over £1 million.

Other results included attendees being booked for paid speaking gigs and the ‘permission’ to keep in touch with all of the journalists to share news over time. Those conversations are still going on today.

In 2026, we’re doing it all again. This time there will be five journalists and one is coming in from the USA, a specialist in business news.

On November 11th and 12th 2026, the event will take place at the Doubletree by Hilton in Swindon. There will be a professional photographer across the two days and Scott Media team members will be on hand throughout the day. The MC for the event will be Fiona Scott.

This event will be for a maximum of 35 people across two days and half of those places have already been sold.

Day One: The Learning

A day for listening to, meeting and networking with the five working journalists. They will tell you about themselves and stories they are looking for.

You will also have the opportunity to speed network with them and for them to ask you many questions about you, your expertise and, if relevant your business or charity. This is a structured day with plenty of opportunity for chatting and sharing stories.

A buffet lunch will be provided with drinks and pastries available throughout the day. Dietary needs can be catered for. Clients of Scott Media will always get a discount.

There will also be an opportunity for a mini photo shoot on this day for an additional fee – five headshots for £60 plus VAT. There will be six slots for this and this must be booked in advance.

VIP Dinner:

You will be able to a social VIP dinner between Day 1 and Day 2 which is free to attend. This allows for engaging with two of the invited journalists in a purely social setting. There will be a charitable element to this dinner and there will be a guest speaker to be announced in due course.

Dietary needs can be catered for. This cannot be booked on it’s own.

Day Two:

On Day 2, it’s about being inspired to tell your stories because this day will culminate in formally pitching to two of those journalists who are attending the whole event.

This will be a masterclass where you will hear from three keynote speakers about their story, we will discuss the power of books in PR, and the power of professional speaking in PR.

Then we will prepare for Press Dragons’ Den when attendees will be invited to pitch a story of their choosing and feedback on that pitch will be given.

No one will be forced to pitch, it will be entirely voluntary.

As part of the Summit you will receive a workbook with the contact details of all the participating journalists and full permission to keep in touch with them independently going forward.

The cost of this ticket for the two days is £1020.00 including VAT.

*Please note, it’s not possible to book just for day two as being able to pitch effectively means listening to what journalists want on day one.

  • Please note that accommodation is not included in these prices. We can supply details of accommodation and the Doubletree Hilton is likely to offer a small number of rooms at a discounted price for any attendees who wish to stay. There is also a Premier Inn and a Holiday Inn Express within walking distance. Parking is available on site, please enter your registration at the reception to avoid a parking ticket, unless the reception has a sign to say registration is not required. There are many accommodation options in and around Swindon. It’s a vibrant town with a wide range of choices.

  • Payment for the event can be made in instalments if that’s helpful however no cancellations are possible due to substantial upfront costs already incurred. Therefore once committed, no refunds will be given. If you book, pay and are unable to attend, you can gift your place to a third party (and make a private arrangement with them re. payment), however we do need to be told as some of the work over two days will be tailored to the needs of those attending.
