Easter Gift guide

Do you like Easter? How about buying local?
When it comes to Easter buying gifts for adults, chocolate is not always something they want, because as much as we enjoy it, when you’re older it does pile on the pounds! And it gets a bit dull.
So what else can you buy as Easter gifts (if you are into gifting) and what’s around us in Swindon or Wiltshire?
I like to buy gifts locally, both products and services, so I’ve put together a list of some local businesses that can help. I’ve chosen five products and five services, where you could buy vouchers as a gift.
Products:
*Flowers: I love having flowers in the house, throughout the year, so in turn, love giving them as gifts. There are two local florists that are my go-to people, and they are: Charlotte Phipps and Pauline Young. Both ladies are very creative, and their arrangements are always beautiful.

*Skin Care: Pink and Green Skincare is organic and vegan, and its founder is Carol Aplin who lives in Swindon. https://pinkandgreenskincare.co.uk/
*Clothes: There are two dress shops I love, one in Old Town, Swindon and the other in Devizes. Both, I love because they have interesting things, different to what you see everywhere else! They are, The Wardrobe, Devizes and Kapada, Vintage Clothing, Old Town, Swindon.

*Books: I’m sure you all know by now, how much I love to read. Did you know there is a bookshop in Old Town, Swindon? Well there is, Bert’s Books – a great place to buy books locally! https://bertsbooks.co.uk/
*Antiques: Another love of mine, which you can’t have missed, is antiques. As you know I worked on the BBC tv series Flog It! for a long while, and my love of antiques continues, off screen. The Old Bank Antiques in Royal Wootton Bassett, is a great place to hunt for little treasures. https://oldbankantiques.co.uk/
Services:
*Massage: Body Boost Therapy, is run by Bev Francis. Bev’s massages make you feel amazing, and a great pamper gift. https://bodyboosttherapy.co.uk
*Nails: Pavlina Ofori-Mensah is a professional nail technician who owns her business and she’s mobile! She works evenings in Swindon only and her business is called Nail’dIt. I regularly have my nails done by Pav and love it when my nails look colourful.

*Hairdressers: For most of us women, I think hair is important and how we have it styled, cut, dyed, permed etc can make us feel happy and confident. We all know how we feel when we have a ‘bad-hair-day’! Chickks Hair Salon in Old Town is the place to be seen and ask for Kim! https://chickkks.co.uk
*Nutrition: Caroline Peyton is a professional nutritionist and naturopath. She has an holistic approach when looking at the whole body and mind to give advice about your health. She runs clinics in Wiltshire, the Cotswolds and online. She’s wonderful to work with if ou have gut health issues, you are a woman in peri-menopause or menopause https://www.peytonprinciples.com
*Afternoon teas: Two different approaches, a local hotel, Marsh Farm, where you can buy a voucher for afternoon tea, or a coffee shop which provides, gluten, dairy-free and vegan cakes, Dandelion Gifts and Coffee Shop. Both are in Royal Wootton Bassett.
