Introducing The Press Pack!
I wanted to share with you that I have decided to make changes to the PR Academy. It has had a ‘make-over’ and is now called the Press Pack.
I will be offering it to new clients who join me in 2025 for £99 plus VAT per month for a year’s commitment or £119 plus VAT for a six month commitment.
What is the Press Pack all about?
- It’s a Facebook group for paying clients of Fiona Scott and her team of Scott Media, and for those who want to invest in journalist opportunities on a monthly basis yet cannot at the moment afford a ‘done for you’ option.
- The key aspect of the group is to take storytelling seriously in business as part of a mixed strategy for sensible and practical PR gains.
- As those of you who already know me recognise – I passionately believe that businesses need to be visible to thrive and grow – even if the business owner has to DIY when it comes to visibility.
What are the opportunities of belonging to the group?
On a regular basis I share opportunities. This is a small selection of some of the recent posts:
- Information about small awards applications – authentic and bona fide awards rather than those where you have to may have to pay to attend the awards ceremony before you can be nominated or in some cases you have to even pay for your award!

Journo requests for issues/stories on a whole range of things from the new assisted dying bill to a hair transformation photoshoot and experience, to stories about the weather…
One for BBC Radio 5 Live Breakfast – to record a short light-hearted voice note for a radio program on a Christmas themed item about hosting family and friends.
Usually, I ‘tag’ people who I think might be of interest for a specific request, but it’s up to you to regularly look at the group page, as there may be something that I don’t know you are interested in!
- I answer any questions you have and once a month I do a video sharing story ideas coming up for the following month.
What do members of the group have to do?
- Any journalist requests shared will have all the information I have and anyone interested must go direct to the journalist and it’s important you meet the brief specifically and the deadline. I will answer any questions if you are unsure.
- For retained clients, who have automatically been added to the group, if you see something which fits and I could not have known this – then message me and I’ll pitch on your behalf as usual.
What are the extra benefits of belonging to this group?
*Two power hours per year – six months apart if you sign up for a year. Each power hour is worth £238.80 per hour. One with me and one with Lauren for accountability.
*One power hour with me – if you sign up for six months.
*As mentioned above, a free monthly video with ideas for stories in the coming month. Others will pay for this.
*Five to ten per cent discount of any in-person courses I offer during your membership.
*Access to journalist requests for national press – both business and life-style – aiming for at least five a month for the whole group. Worth over £3,000 a year. If you get coverage in any national media outlet, that equates to a minimum of £10,000 if you were ‘buying’ space.
*A free spot on Scott Media Speakers while you are a member to showcase yourself as a professional speaker. However please be aware, you must have good images and you must be willing to provide updates on what you are doing. If any paid bookings are secured, Scott Media takes a ten per cent cut (20 per cent for paying non-clients).
*In 2025, I’ll be launching a monthly ‘How To’ Video to help you build your own PR toolkit over time to help with visibility. Each video will retail for £49.99 for anyone who is not an academy member.
