No BS Media Summit – last calls…

This is the month that the early bird tickets for my No BS Media Summit ends, and also the early bird cost of the hotel rooms.
The summit is on February 5th and 6th 2025 and will take place at the Doubletree Hilton, Swindon.
Over the two days as an attendee, you will have access to, and network with five journalists, including national names. The journalists are Anita Jaynes, Sam Brick, Dan Martin (pictured here), Nick Hardie, and Matt Barbour.
You will also receive training from business leaders at the top of their game and have access to an exclusive VIP dinner.
You’ll work on your stories and work in groups to decide who is going to pitch their story. You’ll learn about personal branding and how to share your stories with the media at the right time.
As it’s my inaugural event, I thought it might help for people attending the summit to think about how they can prepare themselves:
- What are the milestones in your business in 2025?
This could be the number of years you’ve been in your business; the anniversary of when you took on your first staff member and now you have grown far more. Or it might be that you developed a particular product so many years ago… - What is your expertise that people should know about?
Think of interesting/important occasions when your skill and expertise has been used. Is your skill/ expertise something unusual? What type of skill is it – a specific skill linked to your industry or profession? Is it a skill that you can teach others? Does your skill/expertise help other people directly or indirectly? - What events or moments (awareness days, weeks, months) are relevant to your expertise? Make a list of the areas that you think would work for you.
- These questions are to get you about thinking about how you can be relevant to the Media, NOT them being relevant to you! To make a good relationship with a journalist, it’s about you helping them and NOT expecting them to go with your story when you think they should. It needs to fit their working style/ timetable.
- What questions do you want to ask the journalists?
- Do a search for the Media experts that will be in the room – find out what they do and what subjects are they interested in and write about? Is there one particular expert that you would like to talk to?
- In practical terms for the day, think about how you are going to make notes on the day – by hand in a notebook; on an iPad or laptop? Make sure you have everything with you that you need before you set off!
- What photos do you want to take during the day? Who do you want to be photographed with? Plan this thinking about what will help your marketing and can be assets for your PF.
So, if you would like to book now is the time – before the early bird tickets end.
