We’ve reached 7,505 podcast downloads! Thank you!
In PR, there’s often a lot of repetitive, corporate words and phrases that don’t make sense to the average person or vague advice, confusing language and elaborate words that can feel very ‘over the top’. That’s exactly why I started the ‘PR Not BS’ podcast. When I started, I wanted to share honest conversations, practical advice and information that actually makes a difference.
Here at Scott Media, we want to give our clients the best support there is and our podcast offers a fantastic way to connect with those in our community and to share insights about making yourself and your business stand out from the crowd. Our podcast is full of no-nonsense, straight talking PR advice with guests who work in the industry or who have used PR to grow their business. Each episode is packed with practical hints, tips and inspiration to help business owners use PR intelligently, strategically and confidently.
Currently, our podcast includes conversations with several entrepreneurs ranging from those working in retail, published authors, gold medallist athletes and journalists from around the world – just to name a few. We’re privileged to work with so many interesting and creative people who are always asking questions and learning how to be better. We believe learning is a process and a thirst for knowledge is crucial to being a successful business owner. It takes a wise person to learn from their own mistakes but an even wiser person to learn from others.
We’re ecstatic to share that our podcast has reached 7,505 downloads! This number is an amazing achievement for us, but we hope it also inspires others to get involved in the conversations we have. Our top podcast download currently is ‘Do you feel safe in Wiltshire?’ posted in March 2024. Our second-best performing podcast is ‘No BS PR predictions for 2022’ published in December 2021 and our third best performing podcast is titled ‘PR brilliance from National Journalist Jill Foster’ posted in December 2021. If any of these topics resonate with you, then head over to our website to start listening and joining in the conversation. Presently, 30% of our listeners are using Apple Podcasts and 24% are using a web browser. However, we do share our podcasts on various services. This includes the Buzzsprout Player and Spotify. We want our listeners to know that our podcast is available to listen to in your own time, in your own space, however, suits you. Many people choose to listen from an iPhone, but some listen on a computer or iPad. At the minute, our largest proportion of listeners are from the UK, but we are glad to share that over 1,150 of our listeners are from the USA. In the future we are excited to expand our connections across the world and keep telling stories.
As of this moment in time, Scott Media oversees the podcasts for the fantastic ‘Loo of the Year Awards.’ We’ve taken this challenge in our stride and cannot wait to learn more about creating podcasts for others too. If you’re an existing client, or someone interested in working with us then do get in contact to discuss how we can help you best. Next week, we’ll be sharing some top tips for getting started with creating a podcast. You can find the podcast episodes via our website https://scottmedia.uk/podcast and via our Spotify and YouTube channels.
