On February 5th and 6th next year, 2025, I’m hosting my very first No BS Media Summit!

This is going to be a two-day event at the Doubletree by Hilton in Swindon.

This is a completely new venture for me and one which I’m looking forward to with a mixture of thrill and pride.

Attendees can book for the first day, the first day and a fun evening meal or for the whole summit of two days plus the evening meal.

The No BS PR Summit:

Over the two days guests will have access to and also network with 5 journalists, including national names, receive training from top notch business leaders, have access to an exclusive VIP dinner and much more.

Also, you’ll work on your stories, work in groups to decide who is going to pitch their story, learn about personal branding and how to share your stories with the media at the right time!

1 Attending the first day; Media Magic – includes working with the journalists, speed networking with them and working with them to share your stories, expertise and experience. In the evening, a limited number of attendees can also attend a private evening meal with some of the VIP guests – this is Media Magic Plus!

3 For those who attend the two days, the second day will include a masterclass, where there will a presentation by a successful business owner who has used PR to punch above her weight in a competitive sector to run a multi-million pound turnover company.

This day will put more focus on strategy.

Two of the journalists who will be sharing their expertise across those two days are Anita Jaynes and Sam Brick.

If you follow my social media posts or a member of my Fiona Scott’s PR Tribe you will have seen them mentioned on several occasions.

Anita Jaynes is a local media entrepreneur, living in Wiltshire who is the founder of The Business Exchange South West, an independent business-to-business publishing company with two quarterly magazines covering Bath & Somerset and Swindon & Wiltshire, championing these areas and helping businesses and organisations grow.

She has worked in the media industry for over 20 years, as a journalist and broadcaster, and also working commercially in media sales and business development.

In 2022, Anita was named by f-entrepreneur as one of the UK’s most inspirational female entrepreneurs.

Sam Brick is a Feature writer who has lived in France since 2008 with her French husband and seven dogs.

She started her career working in TV as a producer making documentaries, before launching her own independent production company.  She wrote an article for the Daily Mail ‘Why do women hate me for being beautiful?’, which became an internet phenomenon, and led to Sam appearing on several TV shows, including ITV’s, ‘This Morning’.

She now works in national press for many different outlets, including the Daily Mail and Daily Mirror, where she writes about people. She enjoys writing about relationships; family issues and events; careers; mothers; being child-free; our friendships – in fact anything that touches us as humans.

Having been in the news herself, she can talk with confidence about how to deal with keyboard warriors and negative comments about your personal ‘self’. She is now known as a commentator about certain subjects and is regularly contacted by other media.

Like me, she also believes that people are interested in the people behind the business – because that’s who they will invest in, and that’s what she writes about.

Having the opportunity to hear from journalists with the experience of Anita and Sam and the other journalists, plus the opportunity to learn and be able to talk to them about your stories is incredibly valuable.

Don’t miss out! If you are interested in attending some of all of the Summit, the early bird price ends on December 7th, and after that date prices will rise by £100 + VAT per ticket. Click here to get your tickets!
