What is the Press Pack?

Posted on February 2, 2026 by Categories: Clients, PR Tags: , , , ,

It’s a group where people join as members, to become clients; people who want to invest in journalist opportunities on a monthly basis, yet cannot at that moment afford an option where everything is done for you.

Anyone who has heard me talk about PR knows that for me, story-telling is central to any PR strategy. In the Press Pack taking story-telling seriously is the key and becomes part of any mixed strategy for sensible and practical PR gains.

My reason for setting up this group is because I strongly believe that businesses need to be visible, to thrive and grow – and that’s even if it’s the business owner creating their own visibility.

The benefits when you join the group?

*I share opportunities on a regular basis – so although I ‘tag’ people, it’s always worth checking the group regularly in case there is something that I don’t know you’re interested in.

*I respond to questions that people want to ask.

*I share information about small awards applications – only authentic awards.

*Once a month I do live sessions, sharing story ideas coming up for the following month.

What are the extra benefits of belonging to this group?

*Members can have two power hours per year – six months apart if you sign up for a year. Each power hour is worth £238.80 per hour. One with me and one with Lauren for accountability.

*Five to ten per cent discount of any in-person courses I offer during your membership.

*Access to journalist requests for national press – both business and life-style – aiming for at least five a month for the whole group. Worth over £3,000 a year. If you get coverage in any national media outlet, that equates to a minimum of £10,000 if you were ‘buying’ space.

*A free spot on Scott Media Speakers while you are a member to showcase yourself as a professional speaker. However please be aware, you must have good images and you must be willing to provide updates on what you are doing. If any paid bookings are secured, Scott Media takes a ten per cent cut (20 per cent for paying non-clients).

*Last year, March – a WhatsApp group for chatting launched, allowing  a sharing of ideas.

What do group members have to do?

Any journalist requests shared will have all the information I have and you must go direct to the journalist and you must meet the brief specifically and the deadline.

For retained clients, who have automatically been added to the group, if you see something which fits and I could not have known this – then message me and I’ll pitch on your behalf as usual.

Rules of the group:

*All posts must be legal, tasteful and decent.

*Nothing in the group can be shared outside of the group without permission of myself or the poster – unless the post asks you specifically to share.

*The T&Cs for this group that you sign up for a year and you are committed for that time from the date of entry. If you give notice during that period you will be billed for the whole year, payable immediately. No refunds if you’ve paid upfront. On renewal it’s for another full year at the price applicable at that time.

Investment:

It’s £99+VAT per month for a year’s commitment, or £119 +VAT for a six month commitment.
