YOUR LAST CHANCE TO PARTY WITH US! CELEBRATING 15 YEARS IN BUSINESS

Posted on September 18, 2023 by Categories: Uncategorized

Our party IS just a few weeks away, on Friday October 6th, at Marsh Farm Hotel, Royal Wootton Bassett. By our, I mean me and my bestie, Lis McDermott.

We both started our business journey’s in 2008, though we didn’t know each other at the time. Very few businesses survive for ten years, so we are doing well to make 15. Having had a party after 10 years in business, in 2018, which was great fun and a success, we decided to mark reaching 15 by bringing together business owners, clients and friends for more fun!

Tickets are only £60 a head, so if you’d like to join us for a fun, celebratory evening, this is and what to expect:

  • A lovely 2-course meal
  • The opportunity to network with others in the room.
  • The chance to win some raffle and/or auction prizes
  • You’ll also get to meet our wonderful keynote speakers Louise Hunt Skelley PLY and Chris Hunt Skelley MBE. They will share their love story, and how in recent years, Louise has helped Chris become Number 1 in the World in his sport of judo, and helped him to win gold at Tokyo 2020. He’s now going for gold again in Paris next year. All helped by Louise’s own stellar career as an elite athlete in wheelchair tennis.
  •  There will be a professional photographer on hand throughout the evening
  • And – Paul Martin from TVs ‘Flog It!’ will be our Master of the Raffle! I used to work with Paul on the BBC program for six years, and we’re so pleased he is coming to join us.

If you would like to donate a prize to the raffle or auction please let us know. So far donations include a hamper from Truffle & Thyme, 2 bottles of champagne from Lesley Wood and a handmade necklace from jewellery maker Sheila Clarke.

We now have only space left for a handful of people so you must get in touch to book your space so please don’t wait any longer if you’ve been waiting!

By joining us and buying a ticket, you will be helping to raise money for a fantastic cause.

Cash raised on  the evening will go to Ainslie’s Pavilion – find out more about it here –

Ainslie’s husband, Phil Duffell, will be joining us and will let us know how the project is going and why he wishes to create a legacy to his beloved wife Ainslie. A cricket coach and sports journalist, Phil will be on hand all evening to answer questions.

**If you decide to join us, please bring cash along for this event, and be ready to spend it! We will be taking professional photographs during the evening, and if you want one of yourselves, or with our guests, we’ll ask for a £5 donation to the charity pot. **

So, what are some of the things we’ve learned in the last 15 years of business?

5 things we’ve learned in 15 years:

  • Owning and running your own business is hard work – but worth every moment of it. We’ve both had some amazing experiences and met some wonderful people.
  • Having business buddies and a network of people around you who support you is vital.
  • Supporting local businesses and charity is important, and makes excellent links for both you and your business.
  • Having integrity at the backbone of everything you do, stands you in good stead when any issues arise.
  • Knowing your worth and value is incredibly important when it comes to maintaining your business and cashflow.

Come and join us – we know you’ll love hearing Louise and Chris talk, and you get a meal – a great evening for £60. We look forward to seeing you.
